About Us

Dr. Bong Piang Nam was born in Kuching in 1976. After graduating from Chung Hua Middle School No.1 in 1994, he went to Taiwan to study dentistry and successfully obtained his first degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from National Taiwan University in 2002. Since then, he worked in a private dental clinic in Taipei under supervision of an oral surgeon.

In 2005, he came back to Malaysia and registered as dentist under Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (MDC: 3691) and underwent 3 years of compulsory service. From there, he gained clinical experience in general dentistry, particularly in dental extraction and dentures. Upon completion of compulsory service in 2008, he started his own private practice at Dr. Bong Piang Nam Dental Surgery.

Dr. Bong finished all the training courses of two years with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars (USA) in 2013 as well as completed the Advanced Series of Progressive Orthodontic Seminars in 2014.

On top of that, Dr. Bong acquired his Master of Science (MSc) with merit in Dental Implantologist from University of Central Lancashire (United Kingdom) in 2017. Having more than 18 years of experience in general dentistry, he specializes in dental implant surgery and its restoration and now takes special interest in orthodontics.

Other than implant surgery, Dr. Bong is also experienced in other various dental surgeries such as aesthetic crown lengthening, apical surgery and impacted wisdom tooth surgery.

Dr. Bong takes pride in his cutting-edge technology and the ability to produce in-house computer-aided surgical guide that ensures the accuracy of implant position and angulation of dental implant placement. This is all made possible through the dental clinic’s investment in cone beam computer tomography (CBCT) and intraoral scanner which aid in the design and the printing of surgical guide.

Dr. Bong believes in the importance of continuous learning and frequents himself to attend various dental seminars including orthodontic, implantology and aesthetic dentistry locally and globally. Dr. Bong strives to provide one-of-a-kind dental services and help his patients achieve not just a beautiful smile, but also offer chewing function rehabilitation.
